I made a cake and Baili

So I made this cake a little bit ago, I made it from scratch. It was my first time making a cake from scratch. It was a raspberry cake. I was not too impressed by it, I thought that is was dense, and not very moist. But the frosting was good. I still have to work on making it look pretty, and taste good, but it is fun to do.

Baili was playing with the cat ( oreo). Oreo was sleeping by the window, so Baili decided that she was going to play with her and give her something to look at besides the back yard. She pays real close attention to detail here.

Here Baili and Kristen have set up a barn yard. Need I say more?

Letter boxing

My sister Shavonne and I went letter boxing this last weekend. She had gone before with her husband Derek, but he was not into going this weekend, she she asked me to go with her. I was all for it, it seemed way fun. So I went and got me and stamp and a book for the adventure. We went to a few different places and in like 3 of the 5 that we found, there was a Hitch hiker (an extra stamp) in them, so that was even more exciting. I am hooked!!! Here are some pictures from our fun. If you are interested in letter boxing, go to letterboxing.org.

My Dad

This is my Dad. but this is not his real hair. This picture about sums up my dad and his personality. At first when someone meets dad he comes across as a serious person, and he can be, but get him around any of his 10 kids and their families, he breaks it up. He is great at telling a story, I think that is where all of us kids got our story telling abilities. There are times when you would least expect him to break it out, and there it is. One time I was in the kitchen making some cookies and I had on the radio, well Dad walked by the hallway and from the corner of my eye, there he is doing a little dance.
On the other side of him, there is a man who is well worth taking after, he is patient, loving honorable, and respected. He is a example of what a father and husband should be. I just wanted to take a minute to show everyone who I look up to and love. My Dad.

A bit of venting.

I typed out a whole post and then just deleted it. The title is all that remains. I think I just needed to type it out to get it out of my head. Thanks for reading and checking up on me. Some good news is I got 52 out of 50 on my last math test. 104% baby! 2 more weeks left for this quarter.

Up for a challange?

The first five people to respond to this post will get something from me! My choice. For you. Hand made (if you are lucky)!
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be (nor do I at this point).
The catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they want to receive a homemade gift from me will indeed receive one.
Be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!!!

PS: I got this idea from my friend Sheila's blog, she is doing the same.
