Kristen fits most all descriptive words I can think of. She is very outgoing, silly, sweet, lovable, rowdy, beautiful, gentle, not gentle, tender and more. She has grown so much just these last few months. She is almost 8 years old and is trying to decide if she would like to get baptized. She is very thoughtful like that. below are some pictures that show her many sides to her personality. I just love her, even when she decides to be difficult. :)

From that time on it was forever referred to as " the zilch". she decided that she was going to make a little game out of it and pass it secretly among her sisters. You did not want to end up with the zilch. Over the years it has been passed from one sister to another in many different forms. When I ended up with it I found it in a box of food my sister had given to me when she moved from Spokane. I gladly accepted her generous offer. When I returned home with the box and began looking through the box and putting food away I beheld the zilch tucked away out of sight for me to discover after I had already left her home. It was now my turn to pass it on secretly. This is how the zilch lives, moving from one home to another.
At our family reunion just a few weeks ago the zilch was secretly placed in my sister in laws truck. Little did she know what she was about to find. The Zilch lives on.
My sister Shaina placing the zilch.

I love working with the youth and spending time with them. The theme this year was "brave" and we definitely got our Scottish on. We even had highland games! I had such a blast and would totally go again in a heart beat. I did not take many pictures while there but I was able to see my niece and my uh niece once removed...? She is my sister in laws niece, but family none the less. I loved being able to see them there. My really good friend Amanda was the craft lady so we also got some time together.
yay for girls camp!

We made crapes with strawberries and bananas and peaches and yogurt, bacon, and muffin tin egg omelets, and of course OJ. It was so fun to have them over. While they were here it started snowing (the snow here has been uh not so here this winter, which I am not complaining about by any means, just saying). The snow flakes were like sheets of paper. They were huge. I love it when it snows like that. Its like real snow in my opinion. Anyways, the girls wanted to go out and play in it, I was holding Sam so I sent them on their way with Aimee. They tried to catch the flakes in their mouths. It was fun to watch. Once they all got out there they realized they all had on the fuzzy hooded coats, and Aimee had to get a picture. It was not easy to get a pic because their hats were so Fuphy (is that a word?) that it was hard to get all three of them in the shot. I was standing at the door watching with Sam, so Aimee got a picture of me doing that as well.
Anyways, here are the pictures from that day. It was fun, and will be a memory I will have forever.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiD9EpG3ipnJiUmdQOVL6LPmM9uZAsU_wDzUMeVOuHb6917hp1MEkb0OO7wzOH47kouLtZKUNFQyZltwwxCb1qJH-3oirNDNqxpTkAWDywoLIiKbKwdxSVc5vy4NQWZzlfvxnv7Hj9Jpms/s400/Christmas+2011+018.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693966545331548738" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGb0i0TVTRX_EINjMAlZ3UzMs9PA3helxZqcbexQLaM6UEmo4BWJb7Jtoj87cN1k6_bxYLDr4vOqebTY-bwZNZuIV7SZSRBQSqAzyjJkYbEYXtF_N9nnGsZH-nN6CfCAdElfEzQcyCIaI/s400/Christmas+2011+019.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693966541027780866" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlkRVKCGadpj_MSvikeW4pkTBiXL56XRG626kQHDuTznFgO1mbddxZob0uSNzHAsfPyoKbYe5me9pq2zFv8n20SCeteWXQy-2ByMeY8rLjkwXy3q3MbO4nDFiIh40j5yARWCTy1RTZ4HA/s400/Christmas+2011+013.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693966522929850338" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4QwB4trg2b4ajt7-_9393z7CzuNt0ci3Xcv2GU0HvhY9YLCvAKYZaT2Ou1cwaZswQO7M5_mGLsjNjTEJ8Q_GhbKg119sgQ-KC8ADcpV7yFD8au5zsum4vvJ2uPSwKjLYvnfiaX-dRIIM/s400/Christmas+2011+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693966513520214178" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNAXLXbD1qMzBj3EcebQQ7hRashkwFTnOcjyRRdi2B_pIyxIQ6B-QsPiLnhkkzB78IBCG65tKe0efp7F051nWQPq3_NOxTjveh4QOx-v2NtUQtoltM6qwRwtQCDimHwEVTHxxCnHaWi6E/s400/Christmas+2011+007.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693966509887200386" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-77566312545747023712012-01-04T18:03:00.000-08:002012-01-04T18:12:56.931-08:00Being craftySo a couple years ago (years?!!!) my good friend and her son were living with me and moved out. When they moved she asked me if I wanted an old dresser that she was going to just be getting rid of. I said yes thinking that I would fix it up and give it a little TLC. Well two years later I finally did it. Here are some before and after pictures of it. I got the idea on pintrest on what to do with it. I found some scrapbook paper that I really liked and it went well with my bedroom colors that I have got going on. So I spray painted the dresser brown and then I cut and mod poged the paper to the drawers. I went to Lowe's and got some new knobs and Walla! I think it turned out pretty nice if you ask me. And it was super easy to do.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWpNxulOI9LuLfKTHBCnUxa81LRv-F58l4s0JrItoyM50GMRS3N5sAfHrIU162owS3tJe2W1UWS-Ym0e2Jsi2ZrBiy5fCW1feEXPYwNlZMtlIDMuIN3LhCLWk76qz5vBEjfSwUP1fBiU8/s400/Christmas+2011+027.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693963235142504610" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW3KVPEdiKwx_RcuymtRYP-LrFkAY1WBRK0KcZWp3z-nLCVRT76S5As715gvx4iXWw8nl2F0IH8_7PuLCSP26Nue75k_ySwcTd0DUNuF31uZKWGCP1n46PfDmU8ZnXcDtPIlfX5iwyt20/s400/Christmas+2011+026.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693963229580833314" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVjWo5nOjA-xaCi31k0LD3yF8Hdl8Mg348DuleXITWqdS18ktHtLAIIWUtejhdAhYziGmQdzbUF0MNztIMfpZQgV-or4mtIHBmmU-xZeU5atpRRNmHvQ39MMRd4-0CQywbkorvLP1khDw/s400/Christmas+2011+030.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693963256316114162" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE6Bpu4gKhel2AVT-RNXHMjqWQc2vJDKOhAroNBwfwbVVlOFRkLefPBj9wTv16YQSedn60ADCq3E9KrEmBYkZMzvIYSWwByAZq98MOoWVzIGAl6aM0ZuPaJR22B4tQ3tzG9wTeYe2LPo4/s400/Christmas+2011+031.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693963251342687938" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkcp2WoBKTmp6rmBgSvy7qIkVnf3ocosqg4SRxf6082iabgBR5WBvmYbYDPcr8mt3YyRQQ0wQkjozS70uw9qD1FSW0lRhyWZjkZvWDO_a9ozvFw2NwPlwdR1YidIdite84qqvwtVL9b-M/s400/Christmas+2011+028.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693963236404250162" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-34686330826885477412011-12-23T09:04:00.001-08:002011-12-23T09:17:42.206-08:00Holiday FestivitiesYesterday we made some gingerbread houses. We make them using graham crackers, and as you can see from he pictures LOTS of candy. We had John and his kids come over and make them with us. We had a lot of fun making them, and the girls were on a sugar high for a while after that. They both were very excited about how theirs turned out.

Last weekend was Baili and Kristen's primary program. They both wore the dresses that Grandma and Grandpa Weber got them for their birthdays. They are so pretty. The program went off well. They both said their parts well and sang so pretty. Baili's part was "Repentance brings forgiveness" and Kristen's part was "Reverence is love and respect for God." I love the primary program and I look forward to it every year. All the kids are so cute and fun to watch, and their sweet little voices just make me melt.

Enjoy the pictures!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAt_9xd1g4xN4nf_dr39q8PjNsTTSRMjh6Iqf522k07WRV1aQ0llW6KgQN2vKd7ns8NdgGF0cQlWVW6V-y00PSmWttGEGrzw36V68m8OK3z9B39TF1MqAbGYujQmcDY43fzzBitrllbEk/s400/Christmas+2011+022.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689371426436336690" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDs8x0La9OtTc6aYpyP1Rylrq_TbDz2ajrWfpi-545yYd16rfaZiyECBJ1OIJ5e-XVCMOoeTIJZpadn07zb26DLGLM5jPlaSDdyamEOpialZw3nUj4cFs4XMQOGnTL_44Hm7KV1NWv7S0/s400/Christmas+2011+025.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689371411064486738" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUosi5bBGW3at18dE2Ot0otBsNlWS2pj8R68lfsvTD3W9eWHOAYH315_HxddmwE6tRISaH5IKyjuO2JiI-S8l54BI0tyNCWX3b-qxLKR08Vgsek0Z4mD6-ya8YJP4x5GuOsYntgqPNX6Y/s400/Christmas+2011+020.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689371406834926162" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbYCL4rXgHMnN51ClnGZEa86hHIegrhM8PRYN2G-t0xYdjRtKkfqB17M8Si8H2ew9MyTIswcC8CiQ5hNLfPSmZ8dXQfGGdD7Nd-dCI2Nfq4jiWjx9Qp-mwVXQOo7IOeE_eMNlAJ-IHTfA/s400/Christmas+2011+076.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689371390677171154" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUoKtZuBMzKVYeGWh7TtAILW-_-DJrHmQgK6fO91XqE5f8FTFaIvVOrxwADcPYZuNaNZGTyKitOzofgCTTqoko0_IMew-4IXXQPayzFhHiQEYf3w-j6ZivQTyNgHfohN-uaURYMpNR-W0/s400/Christmas+2011+079.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5689371384998420194" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-26913445200260646142011-12-20T19:29:00.000-08:002011-12-20T19:46:28.820-08:00Make-up or warrior paint?There is a young woman in my ward who is my "usual" baby-sitter for the girls. She is so sweet and my girls love her. Over the last two years our families have gotten somewhat close and my girls just love their sitter. She spoils them too, which I think may be one reason why they love her so. Well last Saturday at our ward Christmas breakfast, my girls were talking with their sitter and she asked them what they wanted to Christmas. Kristen stated she wanted a licence plate (aka drivers licence) and Baili wanted a make-up set. Well last night she stopped by baring gifts. My girls were ecstatic. She gave Kristen a decorated with beads licence plate and gave Baili a nice little make-up set.

Well over the last two days they girls have decided that their rooms should become "play rooms" (imagine that concept). I was/am all for this idea and I lovingly encouraged this idea. I support them in keeping their toys in their playroom, and using their sweet imaginations in their playroom forts they build and other such activities that they do in their playrooms. I support them because, well I would not want to be the mother who wouldn't let her own kids have fun in their playroom, and because I'm cool like that. Am I right?

Anyways, tonight after dinner they decided to go play makeover in their playroom. At first they came upstairs with some eye shadow on. And if you ask me it was done pretty well for a 7 year old. But then they got a little carried away and this was the result...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIErgqa7ILw3SIXJrkfQygrZEjyab5kNT-Nek9YpZi5eiI34kuqx0kpdUsv6NLcBajZ-rv033VyUXGSsc-DfWqCpx0XAn1rsH2HVs2_dHGU9gh2OrRhv-bbRGBAPv_ZgVzmxhrgy-45RM/s400/Christmas+2011+022.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688419343025634530" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXHujVDJR2RaKCvFk-q1IDaAlJu1p2rtTHNontbyWwGe0mIrFck_YZyqh4W7WBxUCyoP1qZ76gaI1dHBw1wql0Ql1pHBL2UCakGTrCFG9wa81CpC8L1I0PSOl15wpgnXuqMBl3WQqRQeo/s400/Christmas+2011+023.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688419363590053282" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_T4FTEAUKxEeJEDbi9o8IEHo-sPezzRNmYT17q3yDD478JlyKGEqjokepx4YCGBmrw0_rWb2aMBTVp3OCzhoTllnCz-DROiSdEwUJGCv8tzIA6I95Qx4G9FPnKD2L7MS6pihQELSTizw/s400/Christmas+2011+021.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688419339780372306" />

Need I say more?Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-8799304459264298262011-12-18T19:14:00.000-08:002011-12-18T20:09:46.832-08:00Journal entriesSo Baili brought home her school journal for me to read and enjoy over the holidays. Which I have been enjoying oh so much. So much in fact that I decided to share with you a couple of my favorite entries.
Every morning when she gets to school she sits down at her desk and writes in her journal. Usually it is about what happened the day before, or what she did over the weekend. So as you read the entries know that they are mostly accurate. Also remember that all entries are according to her sweet 7 year old mind and how she sees things happen.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqT_NGhde-NVFfVEohwuw5XF5L4zUcENkYKX51PqDlvIUFFV5FDON5lnuEuaqPu2t-AOFrpamyM77gPEbal9foYvbWWONHK24q3Oyy0UUVnP_eBYzUYw9nx_HfbtUsEiwkrFJGxtx_v64/s400/Christmas+2011+029.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5687686297664623634" />
This says October is my favorite month, but I call it rocktober.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiao8c6-yUPmrmWTcE4RsydBRBzkITJhyphenhyphenz5iiZL7V-drmK1V-6lxHAZ42S6gCuVLWwsGCpKMTaE-HgSs_cRmO0Ng0nDh_uYDTBBPTs0NBP_wVlEQZdgAsab0gFQALkMi7qr38zp6nGbo_g/s400/Christmas+2011+028.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5687686298523735474" />
This says Yesterday we went trick or treating we had fun. Every time they start to get rough with each other I warn them that someone is going to get hurt. We sure enough within 10 seconds of saying this, Kristen bonks her mouth on Baili's head. After settling her down I look at her mouth and sure enough the blow had knocked one of her top front teeth loose. I mean sooo loose. I was sure it would come out within the next couple of days. Boy was I wrong. It had been 2 months and it still was not coming out. It got so loose that she could turn her tooth completely around more than one time, like 3 times around. It was so gross. She even had it turned on its side. I was not coming out! I told her I needed to try and when I did, sure enough it still did not come out. It was STUCK in there sooo good. I worried that if I forced it that I would pull a nerve out or something horrible.
So we get to the dentist and they take a x-ray of her mouth, and come tell me that all 4 of her top teeth need to be pulled right away! I was shocked. Seriously...why? Well apparently her front permanent teeth were coming in with a vengeance and room needed to be made before all of her teeth were forced to move. The one that was loose, the gums had taken hold of the tooth and they had to snip it off (good thing I did not pull). Anyways, she was on happy gas and I thought that she looked too funny. She was being super silly too. Saying weird things about teeth and vegetables and other random things.
She did not like the tingling feeling her lip got when the numbness wore off, but other than that she did great. Below are the pictures of the fun.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 221px; height: 166px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzbM4UIQOMsvjYomnx-ffjtCmV5O7W0A-8JtWMqG3ByA2j_NYjmE9RjO-IcZzin2IOP_JcDMbPUPmqOjRdlF6VPY0ZOXGgt0yt_ZAHDfvccXUn4TuFLceph4KDzl8n18GUfQ1PKd0vtLQ/s400/aftermath.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5680954736374627650" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 221px; height: 166px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQ5DGVQon5KM4_lTYsFNjxlN5lG-iK25h5HUIz77P0S56lK1Sw9PWDIlNfyCZ-k1k1blHnmlzCnmjbYj22_qowvAkhlO9UHZxDb901LOMGM2BPgMIz0sOLfyhYmB3uv46_wahvvAl2ddE/s400/happy+gas.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5680954736650778786" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 221px; height: 166px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYVNuJIlxPiBA13K6FBUOhlFwi_jkTitLCfK9i_IKAF5Bel1J9RSt5qq3qiQBSDR1RRLrX3uLUOx7cX_UGwGSY_KJxP0MFAFQiv7e2sjSGbAjpcpaeDukVl51y2P1WG-agyHX20NO4V0I/s400/loose+tooth.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5680954733598149922" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-79861140421204325682011-09-25T10:13:00.000-07:002011-09-25T10:26:06.101-07:00Milk WHAT???Anyone who knows my Dad, know that he is an amazing man. He is too funny for words and when he decides to write down events that have taken place that he is a part of you know its going to be good.
Well last Friday September 23 2011 (which was my dads birthday) he and my mom went to a Western BBQ with my girls Baili and Kristen at their school. I was not able to attend because I myself was in school classes that day as well. So my parents took on the challenge.
It seemed to be quit the tale and my Dad took it upon himself to share the events of the day through an email he sent to my siblings. Below is the tall tale. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. I plan to keep this story for years to come and share it with my girls as well.

I call this story "Milk WHAT???"

It's what happens in the lunch room at school that makes you realize
it's a changing world. We should eat the ice cream before it melts.
We (Grandma and I) went to Baili and Kirsten's school to have "BBQ"
Lunch with them. I was excited to get a BBQ Burger and "Chips' from
the school lunch cafeteria. What could they possibly do to a
hamburger and pre packaged chips I thought. Upon arrival we paid for
our lunch, collected up Kristen and waited for Baili to show up in the
big room where the food was being served by people with clear gloves
on. I wondered if the gloves were for their protection or mine? With
hungry children in tow we proceeded to the formal lunch line. There
were lots of hungry children present and parents or others from a
previous generation. Presenting our "Ticket" we were given a
Styrofoam multi compartment tray. I remember the days when we used
the brown speckled plastic you can't break this tray. Generally these
plastic trays had particles of the previous meal or possibly a portion
of some meal in the distant past. So, the new Styrofoam multi
compartment tray could be a good thing. We are now approaching the
area where food is distributed to your Styrofoam tray by those people
wearing clear plastic gloves.

Cheeseburger? was the question. I responded to the affirmative and my
hamburger selected at random from a distribution tray of 50 +/-
prepared hamburger / bun combinations was opened and a slice of cheese
stuffed inside. About 1/3 of the cheese made in into the prepared
hamburger - bun combination thus converting this generic hamburger to
a "cheeseburger". It seems appropriate at this point to add a note
that in the course of approaching the first distribution point which
was the main course, I scanned the prepared hamburgers, did not notice
any movement in the tray and all appeared to be acceptable. The
stainless steel tray gave the appearance of food service excellence
and professionalism. The combination unit hit my Styrofoam tray and
I evaluated the cheese placement and decided to make adjustments so
that I had a full cheeseburger considering most of the cheese was not
on the burger. The next station required a brief consultation with
the young person who was so willing to place another item on my
Styrofoam tray. I retracted the tray until I received sufficient
information after my inquiry - What's that? The data provided by the
optical sensors was somewhat distorted. The substance was either
Beans or Chocolate cake in a cup. Since one of the options was Beans,
the information processor immediately flagged the substance as
questionable, hence the retraction of the Styrofoam tray. The
dispensing individual responded to the inquiry and confirmed the
substance was in fact Beans. Without a taste test it would be
difficult to determine what the substance was. I did not want to pass
up chocolate cake if that was in fact the substance in question. The
additional data provided by the distribution professional (with clear
plastic gloves) serving was sufficient confirmation. Following a
brief period of disappointment that it was not chocolate cake, I
declined the offer and proceeded to the next station. At the next
station, there was no opportunity to determine what the object was
that so quickly landed on my Styrofoam tray. Upon close examination,
the wrapper provided the needed info that this rectangular shaped item
was an ice cream sandwich. This data was quickly processed and the
object was accepted. After all, it was pre packaged by others and
what could possibly happen to it prior to being placed on my Styrofoam
tray. At the next station I received a "scoop" of what appeared to be
fruit cocktail. I actually got 8 grapes, a fragment of a cherry and
some yellow squares. Not so many yellow squares though. I next
received the long awaited bag of "chips." Baili told me I would get
some of these. I have had these before, 2 fairly large potato chips,
one smaller one and multiple pieces that would probably sum up to
another medium size chip once upon a time. At the next station which
was not manned by gloved up people I determined we were to serve
ourselves to mayo, lettuce, onions and tomato. We partook of the
items we wanted to adorn our hamburger or cheeseburger.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 160px; height: 193px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-tvPInha-nNIwIM8_LPlYdj4Nj-79iFChB_0_rrV9bbEkq-KApeXWsupMtChOp8B_uo0xsRrodWxZAEr_DZjhyphenhyphenRacOwq1-SrLryaZAKwVUHQdXjtGpX9R-gvBFaqqJHktVCzIdyFFvbM/s400/milk.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5656349484785012546" />

The final station was to receive a pillow of milk. It looked like a little
pillow with either brown or white liquid inside. A young Golden
Corral trainee with gloves held up one of each. No words were
actually spoken, simply a nod was sufficient to receive the brown one.
This was either liquid chocolate cake or considering it came out of
some kind of refrigerated unit, it could be chocolate milk. As we
left the serving area my thoughts turned to how in the world am I
going to drink that bladder of milk without making a mess. I then
remembered that Baili and Kristen were experienced at this and all
would be well. I placed all my faith in Baili as she explained the
process to acquire the contents of the milk bladder. She explained:
you take the straw (located in the packet with your napkin and smork.
Smork (a tehnical term Baili did not use) is a combination spoon and
fork specifically designed so only one implement is needed for
conveying the food from the Styrofoam tray to the mouth) now back to
the straw, Baili continued...placing your thumb over the opening of
the straw at the blunt end you poke it into the bladder of milk. She
demonstrated and WALA! The straw went in and I wondered in amazement
why it did not come out the other side. I tried and the straw did not
penetrate the bladder but bounced off. My response to Baili was that
I needed to use more force. She took the straw out of my hand and
performed the operation for me. Baili is smart since I was sitting
next to her and was an amateur at this; she took charge so I would not
make a mess of things. Good call! With this task complete we could
now begin to eat. Hamburger first seemed the right thing to do.
Combining hamburger, chips and grapes (aka Fruit Cocktail) we all
enjoyed our BBQ Meal. When I got to the Ice Cream sandwich it had
melted and was a challenge to eat. I am happy to report that this
task was completed and I did not get any on my shirt. This is
generally not the case. Kristen dove into her Ice Cream Sandwich and
the conclusion was that it was good. There was some evidence from
eyebrows to chin and all fingers that her ice cream sandwich had
melted too.
After finishing our meal we needed to dispose of our left over
packaging from the chips, ice cream sandwich and crumbs. I assumed
the Styrofoam Tray could be disposed and would not be reused for the
reasons previously mentioned. Baili showed the way again. At the
trash receptacle I noticed multiple hamburgers / cheeseburgers in the
trash basically untouched. My first thought was to the youngsters who
disposed of these burgers that I could have made a “double” out of
that. Then the other thoughts there are people down the street with
signs that say “will work for food”…. And other such things. I need
to tell these people to stand next to the trash can at the school
during lunch and get some burgers. I started to look for some ice
cream sandwiches that were not eaten. I reached into the trash can to
move one of the Styrofoam trays and the lunch police lady gave me "the
look" indicating this would be setting a poor example to the
youngsters. The bottom line here is to eat your ice cream before it
melts. If you get filled up from that it’s ok to dispose of the
hamburger or cheeseburger. I wonder what the kids would think if
someone stood by the trash can and sent them back to finish the
hamburger or cheeseburger before they can leave the area! Wow, I
could bring an end to world hunger. Think of how many school lunches
on Styrofoam trays don't get eaten. A trip to the rest room to wash
our hands and for Kristen - back to class. Baili went to the
playground. Grandma and Grandpa went to rest. The other subject would
be the requirement for hearing protection during lunch. i believe the
audio level in the eating area was above OSHA guidelines for requiring
hearing protection. That's another subject for another day. What
fun.

--
Warren
N7WEB

We have clarified that a smork should really be a spork, apparently Baili has yet to learn the real name for it.
Also because Baili's lunch was before Kristen's, Kristen was able to go back and have lunch again when it was time for the kindergartners to eat. She was thrilled to have a "SECOND LUNCH!" (which she announced at the top of her lungs to every one in the cafeteria) and only ate the ice cream and the chips this time around.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-88627892290721193182011-09-06T18:59:00.001-07:002011-09-06T19:14:24.027-07:00First Day of SchoolWell another school year has begun. But this year is different...both my girls are in school. Here in Spokane they do full day Kindergarten, so its not even a half day thing where I can ease into my kids going to public school. But I am not complaining either, it is nice and does have its perks.
The morning started early for us. Kristen was up at the crack of dawn, actually before the crack even. She was up and dressed and ready to go. But we had a few hours to go yet.
We did hair all pretty and done up, and brushed out teeth, and made sure that we all smelled nice. Then we started taking pictures.
As you can see Kristen in a HAM, she loves to pose and "strut" her stuff. She kept saying that she looked so stylish, and everyone was just going to love her outfit. Haha, she makes me laugh so much.
We walked to school and I took them to their classes where we unloaded their supplies and met their teachers again. Kristen really wanted to see Baili's classroom, but I told her after school we would go take a look at it. She found her desk and sat in her seat. She was ready and excited. Then I took Baili to her class where there was no assigned seating and she had a few of her really good friends waiting for her to arrive. She sat with them, and was also excited. She did get a little teary eyed and tell me that she was just a little bit nervous, but she did great.
Once they were settled into their classes, I headed home, to a quiet house, and lots of time to think of what I am going to fill my free time with these next few weeks before I start my own classes.
I am looking forward to this year and the experiences my girls will have. I hope that they grow so much and that they will continue to be examples to those around them. Hope everyone else has a great year as well.

Here are some pics, they are in kind of random order, but I think that you will get the jist of it.

<img style="display:block; I guess there had been some "talk" going on in the ward about gossiping, and talking down about others in the ward. I kind of seclude myself in my ward, and I try to avoid talking to people if I can. Not that I have anything against anyone, it is more of just a personal thing. Like I feel out of place. I think that stems from this being a ward that I was in when I was still married and there are a lot of people in the ward who know my Ex and I have trust issues with feeling like if anyone knows anything about me that they will go and talk about me to my Ex. I hate the feeling and I am not even sure if that would even happen, but I am paranoid about it and so I just keep to myself if I can. I do have some good friends in the ward though that I will talk to outside of church and hang out with them too. So I am not completely anti social.
ANYWAYS.....my whole point for this post is that in class today I was asked to read a quote, no big deal. But for me this quote said it all about not Judging. I wanted to share it with you all because I feel that this is something that everyone has a problem with. At one point or another we all will think or say something about another or even ourselves that is judgemental in some form. So just read it and do what you will with it, but as for me I think this is something that I will read on a regular basis.

Elder N. Eldon Tanner said that "The reason, therefore, that we cannot judge is obvious. We cannot see what is in the heart. We do not know motives, although we impute motives to every action we see. They may be pure while we think they are improper. It is not possible to judge another fairly unless you know his desires, his faith, and his goals. Because of a different environment, unequal opportunity, and many other things, people are not in the same position. One may start at the top and the other at the bottom, and they may meet as they are going in opposite directions. Someone has said that it is not where you are but the direction in which you are going that counts; not how close you are to failure or success but which way you are headed. How can we, with all our weaknesses and frailties, dare to arrogate to ourselves the position of a judge? At best, man can judge only what he sees; he cannot judge the heart or the intention, or begin to judge the potential of his neighbor."Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-27337253090577872302011-07-28T18:36:00.000-07:002011-07-28T18:43:28.976-07:00FacebookI know that today I am posting like a million posts, but I want to post them while I have the time. Today I have the time because I am doing absolutly NOTHING. Haha.
Anyways...I thought that it would be fun to post some of the facebook posts that I have made in the last month. Kind of fun to see the different things that I said throughout the month, my ups and downs, good times and bad. So here they are from the most recent to the last. Enjoy.

Dinner table topic of discussion tonight...snoring and passing gas, and how its no bodies business to know IF this goes on in our house. Dinner time is family time. Which seems weird to me. I do not feel like I am old enough for it to have been 10 years already, but so it is.
For the last 6 months at least I have been planning and organizing the events for the reunion with my high school friend Winona. She was the class president and I the vice, which I guess meant that were are in charge of planning the reunion. It took some time for us to agree of what activities we should do, but alas we agreed and a plan came into action.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 268px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjna-8Hy776Gi-LmpVB1Q54pnnKMnitAkqw8dg1apewTTSLD9-_EolsUJQquLCUK20W5pY7-0lZrTwXedODLYmxOaZvh9TEReilaRpov0rUPSdnlhbCyFVKoFZfidJ5zarLF0yvy1WpbTo/s400/13.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634540663612642914" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 187px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiorRQzmaxDqO_oBQl0GAx3xsLZJz-blUKDkqAUShrLGbKHNxdvaCtgQcO0wpymor36xs6TXagnp99VZzHPjM8fw1xZXlvTGmcvjUmmpX8NI6XLwISXFz3ThVg8PVVbFHfu3iTQ52zsQXc/s400/14.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634540657991511106" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 230px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLXQOWRMHlT9G7dHKEn2xYc6IYi4hJrnn2ycSHHXkHwei3d2XOc522qY-bf07YzHY5jdS6-J6fQtVMZOkBAJHS_C-vlDtOBNyWuCZQLtTCPHyd2Q7xkstVi82PGHCltr-ftfuYkZqAvFY/s400/9.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634540661285680818" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 354px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-8oUq-xgFH6dWCq0KQPHGC1Nu8LSV-k_IT4IMck9zBkrpra5JWTlaoCCvXDB15AhKs74oDFXUogNzik-0WXIDZlx1xR8c353AqZtYGgbwqLJnKji9_HNi6aRvE_KHPAIUTCPg-I2OXhQ/s400/12.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634540656948230610" />
We decided to have the reunion be just one day (I am so glad we did that) and make it family friendly the entire time. We met in the morning at a park and had a brunch and visitation time. We about a small group show up. Not very many, but that is ok. It was nice to play catch up with my class mates. I feel bad because I was not able to really talk with everyone that came, but to be honest, I was able to talk to those who I really wanted to talk to and catch up with, so I am happy. See the picture of me and my two friends being goofy? Well we were together all the time in High school. We did everything together. It was fun to be together again.
If you read my earlier post about my family reunion I mentioned a new BFF that I have. It's kind of an inside joke, but in all honesty she is pretty great. She married one of my best friends from my childhood John. I still consider John as my really good friend. Always have always will. I was able to get to know his wife Molly Jo better at the reunion, but I follow her blog too so I felt like I already knew her and was friends with her. I think just hanging out that evening sealed the deal. :)
Anyways, I am glad the reunion has come and gone. It stressed me out a bit. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment. I am not looking at my best, but aw-well such is life sometimes. lol.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-57224301490704489122011-07-28T15:36:00.000-07:002011-07-28T15:39:28.803-07:00FindingsI absolutely love it when I am cleaning up my house at the end of the day and I find little "homes" that my kids have made for their toys. Usually I think about taking a picture and then I don't, but this one time I have to take a pic. It made me laugh at the set up. Thought you would like it too.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 221px; height: 166px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9tcLJk77iIADDNCPqPgFFRv6p_GMuyQ9qfM5sbdtruyoQxjmo_rxThvdYjeNKFDkqTV769HxxzFEHpTKdPjnsKhvNpZfrHpLR4m3S1MoxCYiSw-kctHeREH17bQUwh7O8-pUni5LnYmg/s400/barbies+family.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634536290300693154" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-41452071190811106222011-07-28T14:36:00.000-07:002011-07-28T15:32:07.026-07:00Family Reunion (picture heavy)So I was not going to post about my family reunion seems how really my family is the only ones who read my blog, but I have a new BFF (stay tuned to find out who) who seems to read often and so I thought I should post about my family Reunion. That and also this is my way of keeping a journal and so it is also a way for me to remember some things and post pictures.

After the 4th of July the girls and I drove to Utah for my family reunion. I got there a couple days before the whole family was to arrive and so I was able to spend some time with 2 of my sisters Kim and Shaina. We went to Temple square to do a session, but once we got there we discovered that it was closed for cleaning. So we walked around Temple square for a little while and took some pictures and stuff. We even went to the visitor center and saw a mini replica of the SLC Temple. It was pretty cool to see it. Then we went and did some shopping for the next few days to come. Here are some pics from our time together.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHVuzQ_9aGCVcn12P_FLq82e7vQFLCtS19myHFF4M8-3ZZizfc-n2SNbM2VFehEsticW6WoAslmtUDYmbrHo7Oo9eV4Jj5ZZDxVYofVQpJPVcowhoHpFBeUDm-WB1yT9MUoZ9aMwILYLI/s400/099.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634524248874369426" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixryKS18PhSogfKgsUWFomFB2NSCdJxPDz-osZ8geJ2HMUTNKzkd6-qXFFPwCFRSY0GgL-XlRO5Atzz1Z_rxjk2I3emGTyZkWO-d30SvX5C_ilZg6UPPqtt5mnzEwWjnb6MsvsXBHJ6iE/s400/096.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634524250346730482" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgO7GuKJ6ziXt1Hu3p_4v-nZba1lF_DdGviF4cYi0J4izRDahafr_gG3UmSKWMQZMztgDCvgxOlFwD9rQWu-1xZTxNVdjTQNht2AZV_nYke_ZrHAEJ2j9_tKqckg-DazHbWODBTaFHTl7s/s400/095.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634524244451932402" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9Jm5H98AFFoQuHwLf7xtCF0KjpGQRjD-nkxzTb-C1MEVJzqK4B8nIGRl-5WAVCgZFDKzGYRYfNSeHacPlEOsxYSq65-eGaOt0V94m-RFbTzkayEzteCdKaa0gAc35TDL-ilJig-zz4eM/s400/081.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634524242137355986" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha1cQJQj6HBvGwHIr7Xrh51PSaOTYsTVMkeirBUocv_HyipN8zzKL1XRX_cjsyPN8NikN0m-1Tkx7-sa3s_cr-NRbAX-tz4lQdEwfkVBDYnLMhUSyUGBdDEJdqmZwRbMMIjYJkHSasCFA/s400/063.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634524238700560338" />

Thursday night is when the reunion began. All the guys in the family got together and played Halo and my brothers house, they were out till about 2:00 in the morning. There were not pictures taken at this part of the reunion, reasons are unknown...
Friday morning the sisters and sisters in law and my mom and some more extended family got together for brunch. It was brunch but it was also a surprise baby shower for my sister Shavonne who is expecting her first baby. A boy! We are all so very excited for her.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhioqtFd7Tv7j60pPWusuDtfc5IJwyIbBI1DfrTrpKFgDRPkmetWw2490YtVkMk3NPh08wMxbkvIEvZsKq7CQXRcO1G0sxDHb3yHm1vIQGIsYr8TepLVjWtCgHojrT12nSijpppEF1fNLk/s400/003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634526901191720770" />

After brunch the whole family gathered for swim time at the beach. When we got there is was sunny and warm and super nice. My brother Ian is the favorite Uncle, and you can see why. He was throwing kids up in the air in the water. My girls love Ian, he is the best example to them, and he loves them too. But after about and hour and a half it started to rain. So we gathered under some outdoor canopy's and had lunch. There were roughly 50 people under these tents. And it was great.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHAeEpI_HyfjEy-71mLBsGKtx40XOdyXR4-EoEKp0m80yMzvD3qx2vUUB99vOZCNZpbSs-wlCV2DRO-VmiJRpZB5oLu56NJf_PyWHO2RKzFcbFCYeNbat4PzdN78ecRb2jNd97mvNH8co/s400/054.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634528442008530818" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfyz0Sa9HgwYr6lIxgspPLBDgI6RQEYVqsaGVmZVn7CuN9U1IcNDOKZRzxezlx_YuDk-mh_ROsCZ810rtqIBa4Tn7cdWjt0GPEFzm1od-9LPSVKYXbroIbAMHjwzJ7MrfmjHe154RYZpo/s400/031.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634528435381640322" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 261px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGZIamSHKcXoeWO0R60q9fwmckD58IsTHMV727RbaHl6j5ahLqwapuis95U9vKYFImF1R6ByxeQ7P5PkfBEJIfMP7BFNSlqjpVyPgA7EHLnmhgO6ZAi-1IcZrqFst8WIVEGA8amJ9wjsg/s400/017.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634528431970642370" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi07QNF6LMmp9KqfLJ3LHnNGbVac1h7VLAAyIPyNXjC5dQ5qoy3uXUpPR9nQelI2_2Jp4stqDXySBh-VXhvnwZTE4n7Fl7p2_VgWz_bEgswONwGHXmOz25OMVNMz-SbH1n_w3xZ7Z2GT10/s400/008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634528433198059730" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYoB1k436F1kdoCZgDXI9aIEoHdILHaNFDqR6U0aen4b8rCe1zCN5LQv2kouDjojyQmh9-6n30Od78MQdGGdBbaYfMm9wH3Yq3GGfcl5X-xSGUWVvwCS2AewmEHZ3ZAFXglwpBZXgeaHk/s400/105.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634529949200438978" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9jg5GWEylKOFM3oKNw0UPpb0eXtq-HfvRDtLUs4XsxlnMUifJIWBKqXRjEOvv-jP0fmRDza9glC-Sv7hDXpxbQNp-lyzoPzl8SQkbLM-Rt3YPPvYRrK_ppSfkTpOouzF9yQ2MVZuoyKE/s400/104.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634529941863334674" />

After we got rained out we headed to my brothers house. It was the day the Ian and his wife Karissa were sealed together for time and all of eternity. They are a forever family now. This was also the first time that myself, my 9 siblings, their spouses and my two parents were together in the Temple. My parents have made a legacy. they have been the most wonderful example of eternal families. They love and support each of us and have raised us all to be good upstanding members of the church. I am so thankful for this day that we had to all be together. I am so proud of my brother Ian. He worked so hard for this day. He loves his wife. It started to rain so we moved inside and did a white elephant gift exchange. Fitting 50+ people in one living room is not always easy, but we made it look like nothing. I cannot wait to see them again.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-66658316610453729502011-07-17T18:40:00.000-07:002011-07-17T19:20:27.451-07:00Qualities<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 192px; height: 256px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiHbTrtonbiunuJHh5Omc_8tG3vALKtcPiW6RJt6kSXmPoB4ussXXECSoOxFV4dxj82kmRIROtc9UNqokucPHnpBvNwhvqM0n7uQ03Xcrej-zfAG84-onxzWLxOt3jK2_fWfxJRveTPl0/s400/friends+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5630511259094048642" />
I have been doing a lot of thinking about qualities that I look for in a friend. I have had a lot of people come in a out of my life, all of which have taught me something, good or bad. There have been times when I have had to cut someone out of my life because I did not feel that they were a good influence for me, or that I was for them.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 264px; height: 191px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6UC9ZNLvI6nymsWK-Wfot826M51W_9NAFcss5OdmVYgpCojIUycG0ElhXFrbqGSq9pRpe8gLiTStAfkeX4a4AQ-C9yb6MmC_ieWbxyEUkOi7hImhdeDWXQwvNJdJVdMrhMhwxcJQleKM/s400/friends.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5630511127540171266" />
I have been blessed with some pretty great friends through out my life. I have memories of playing tom and jerry, walking down town with a huge refrigerator box over our heads, playing games with families, laughing at my friends who would stall their cars while driving, screaming for my life in the dead of winter and my friend took a sharp corner while driving. I near thought I was going to die! Sitting in the lounge area after young men and women and just talking for forever. Girls camp and sleep talking. Church dances and crushes. Sleep overs and all nighters. Promises made and just feeling so happy and comfortable with them.
Its funny how as I get older what I look for in a friend is the same as when I was younger. I still look for someone who does not judge me. Someone who is forgiving and loving. Someone who uplifts me and encourages me to be the best that I can be. Who is supportive. Has strong family values. Makes me laugh. Comforts me when I need it. Listens when I need to be heard.
I have been blessed with friends who have all of these qualities. I am so thankful for them even if they are not so much in my life now, they have made me into who I am today.
Anyways, I was just thinking about that and thought that I would share. Thanks for reading.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-45751224847644733362011-07-13T08:58:00.000-07:002011-07-13T09:24:53.119-07:00Impromptu PrayerSo every first Sunday of the month our church holds a "Fast Sunday". This is where we are given an opportunity to fast 3 meals, and attend church and partake of the sacrament. We are also given the chance to bare our testimonies to the congregation if we would like.
Well both of my girls look forward to this Sunday. Every Sunday they are asking if it is fast Sunday. About 2 months ago it was a fast Sunday and Kristen had been asking since she woke up if she could bare her testimony. I agreed that she could, but something you should know is that I have never gone up with them and told them what to say in any way. I stay in my seat in the congregation and let them bare THEIR own testimony.
So the sacrament ends and it is time for the testimonies to be said. Kristen jumps right up and she is the second one to bare hers. The thing about Kristen is that I never know what she is going to say or how she is going to say it. Most often it is a sweet simple testimony, others she will giggle, and breath heavy into the microphone. So I was a little worried about how she would do this time around. Well she gets to the pulpit and begins..."I'd like to bare my testimony, I know this church is true, and I think that its very important to pray, and I think that we should pray today for those who are not at church that they can come to church. OKAY?" She pauses and looks around, I am on the edge of my seat, what do I do, can she pray at the pulpit? I am growing nervous. I look to the Stake President who is sitting on the stand. At that very moment he shrugs his shoulders and folds his arms. "Okay this is going to happen I say. Everyone else in the congregation folds their arms as well, but not without having a little chuckle themselves. Kristen begins, "Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. So glad we can be in church. Please bless those who did not come to church today, that they can come, and that they will love Jesus, and make good choices. Heavenly Father we love you, and we love Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ amen." She said thank you and she left the pulpit.
Everyone came to me afterwards and said how sweet that was. My stake President was very nice and was like "hey we are told it shall be said out of the mouths of the children..."
That is one fast Sunday that I will never forget. I am so thankful for my girls and for their sweet examples to me about how we should be and their forgiving nature, and their love and forgiveness. I love being a mom. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my children.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-3968403213927183402011-07-06T09:23:00.000-07:002011-07-06T09:57:51.422-07:00Fourth of July with the HeathsTo start off our vacation we stayed with my sister Courtney and her family in Idaho Falls for two days before heading to Utah for our complete family reunion. For our celebration of America's freedom we went to a parade. It was a fun parade and all the kids did the chicken dance with Uncle Jared. They threw candy and had some pretty fun floats. After that we had a BBQ with Jareds Brothers family then we came back to courtneys for some R&R. That evening we had two of my other sisters come over for a BBQ and just hung out with each other. It was super fun, and my brother in law Darick made some really yummy pork n beans. Homemade. Once they left to go see fireworks we also went to watch some (in a different location). Its called Jensons Grove. It was a sandy beach area with a play ground and grassy areas to play. My kids and Courtneys kids all had so much fun playing together. It was so fun and nice to be with family. I kept saying that this 4th of July was the best one I can remember of my Adult life. And its so true. It was happy, stress free and memorable.
I posted a video below of the kids being penguins down a hill, they were all sliding down on their tummies, Kristen was so funny with it and slid down perfectly. I made me laugh so much.
Jared was so great with the kids and got them all some sparklers and glow sticks and pop its. I love the look on the kids faces as he is lighting the sparklers.
It was such a great celebration, Thank you corks and Jared for a great time. I am sure we will always remember the fun times that we had with you all.

<img style="display:block; Baili had her last day of Kindergarten. She absolutely loved school, and well even her teacher Mr. Holcomb. She loved coming home and telling me about the new french words that he had taught her, and sometimes she got to go in early from school and "work" for him before all the other students arrived. She loved all of her classmates. She had some great friends...Lina, Sadie, Purity, Hayden, Preston, Pheonix, just to name a few.
It ended up being a great year for Baili. She is so very smart and proved herself to be such all year long surpassing all goals set for Kindergarten and even exceeding some first grade goals as well. She is a born leader, and is accepting of all around her.
She is very excited for next year when she will be in first grade and will be able to go to the kindergarten classes and read aloud to them. Kristen will be in Kindergarten next year and will be in Mr. Holcombs class, and Baili is giving Kristen all of the pointers and things to look forward to when school starts again.
Now we will just enjoy our summer, which is already fun filled and travel packed. So stay tuned.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlNyaCbLwFkvRsEHoKXXOg2cxlWAivVBBoCt7ACijZxOdPxgcrwmWnNC-CoKUKl1OsKrxDdgW7_Eg_w4KuGfCGz91c4s1Gw41TVGslAP0lPxWPjjv8tE9j3Q5DQ1ah1LqLIpK9_yZUO7k/s400/Aimee+Wedding+007.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625594071544836562" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieMU8-L-urIMz1prxHjgWvQBWyt8iZ0Nf4Q4UimlNjhrlPhRUlZAU14wUjQf7Zl-b7EDfBEOX-pmcyEPN1eQPNt_z5vnRczyehkDMOMXL27Gjw17WGfVdc4sUhxuaGfPcE6wfZpQ-1lXs/s400/Aimee+Wedding+015.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625594065424424642" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVbZyMY41dwMjV_zS8qJMjLixke7zrACx199t17EAyvkB4YB66xeRbEZ86mNVp4ImE_SMzedI33uBaVWI0NZr-4H98xMzBHebf0meNss1iKfUTSvwH2WIbdEChDIBcCUdRnJ2-xgYSeY8/s400/Aimee+Wedding+011.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625594061204195186" />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-49481231710276647522011-06-15T12:21:00.000-07:002011-06-15T13:45:52.793-07:00Kristen's Pre-school GraduationToday Kristen graduated from pre-school. This year kristen has learned so much and grown so much as a person. Her teachers always spoke of how wonderful she is, and how much of a help she was to them. She loved giving hugs to her teachers and they loved it too. She always was playing with her classmates and helping them when needed. Her favorite things about school are, playing outside on the bikes and scooters, her teachers, friends, the monkey bars, learning about tree frogs with the red eyes, painting, and all of the activity stuff (she is standing here telling me what to type).
For her last day of school we made memory books with pictures that her teachers had taken through out the year. After which we had strawberry short cake, and then her teacher presented Kristen with a certificate of graduation.
Kristen is very excited to go to Kindergarten in the fall. But first and foremost she is ready for summer fun!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig0G9n6QS7LwzJGqLviZLC_jeGPo6AFryNG67AMqs5osbnv8TMiMzZ8SgPCIlkViMD1Y1XPXMN7_d9iMspLEAX3gMtJGIRQRmvlHrYE4f9z3FxpODIBq2I1EhJyO6NNIC-h5cNwFAzkhk/s400/Kristen+pre+school+graduation+022.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618550120361438274" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyLQn2CW-c94fExUyxXqkS_96Qq4HVsQbsdn8mkCYlqEI4_xFiJHqetAFR-whS0obGF16PWikPD_DQoR4zckHcdOwSK_Nc-RZcvTLdGfI4T-8bj6vqREpdhuvj7lV2SnokAFFN04xi95c/s400/Kristen+pre+school+graduation+018.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618550111553369426" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidiV5tbN5LO_MIdAyPJ6n9t0_OcoIqY89aH6rLX8oVaP_f1sXAZd_eWa8e9Q8KeJQDFCTfkU2F_8fVvC-eueK8JfW6MeGFPekQj6sB3jrleUwOOoFZ-BU7zuf9DYBxFVteD8mK4Pa_igQ/s400/Kristen+pre+school+graduation+012.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618549893147644962" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBZUOthn8DTMhz41scN2fDYTazR74fLHTM_JijCGeTxbWQsTfjB0G0eusAZJQwYYH5H3CEQTcxGUn2xRrMXjbUyyDJ0gk2f6G4BGysXL5bPmbpjZEycEm4OIhbWiHuLK5TcnRhzagR-Og/s400/Kristen+pre+school+graduation+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618549887618522242" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtZbdpHpHiOQ581fSHJUtQLp3tHSSdVUMcPuSRLGajUZq5QiixnUt4BM6oYno-sdl1q5ywX_t_UA8SKAc1kaNYE98QfrI8f1czPjD85_Egqss6vmkuVAbTslQzItiGnGrWS1tDG775KRc/s400/Kristen+pre+school+graduation+005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618549877708122050" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfd4tR5peYMbVzDJ2E6w2Wzw4SzAgria5yUB9Rt-3zRe2jezBUsFqgqFcaO9-t-AFRf-hyot_qHtt4dNbfiqSh9YcEZ2BQWvdPz_FABu2MpVI2fq4CONoIwRbRbo3TwpNcHEWWn-RorkE/s400/Kristen+pre+school+graduation+001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618549873957519698" />

PS: When I load the pictures all I see is the word mumbo jumbo text thing, not the pic, otherwise I would post things under each picture and explain what is going on in each. Which was really good, and it was nice to just sit and talk with them and hang out. I just love those two. Before dinner though Shavonne took me to polka dot pottery where we each painted our own pottery plates. I copied her and did a birthday plate. It will be used in our family as a special plate for only the birthday person. They get to use it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and everything else in between. I am excited to use it this year for my girls birthdays.
Here is my plate that I did, I think that it turned out pretty cute. When we were painting it we had to do each color 3 times in order for the color to be what we were using. It looked pink when I was done with it in the store, but once they fired it, it turned red, which is what I wanted. Because my kitchen colors are red and white. Anyways, I love it! I am super excited about it. Thank you Shavonne and Derek for a great birthday!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 166px; height: 221px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyM__wbiqoo24BQ0GwbHN8MImJYP6qhATqJ9sG6fWTppZdse_hn8LoOirYdWdLdE0U0lJiRXIcl-LrxJ2nqVUF-h5T96AqEKUhji-qQ6SjAmFo8ofA2WfdgCyPasH-F7_GyvX3LZZdbMw/s400/birthday+plate.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618165858155076514" />
BekahUnknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-476812327399433182011-06-08T22:25:00.000-07:002011-06-08T22:36:02.480-07:00Are you for real?<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 166px; height: 221px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEiXnMrUsIceCIdIn4F4AccBgSiK1vul_ZpHgMLgpRcXQGOOG4uPzYbtAv4S4IMQOCG8dHHWXFS1l8dLs0OdrITb_6KxSE9fCgPfGA5iDd2mCnxKedsYXubvRplLw7CDB_PG1oxsHkCfk/s400/ironmay2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616089414769774530" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 166px; height: 221px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAqMhRI1Iuepm0Xo3YY_thdxxJJ-GvNODnXc7c6Ai02JAYF3NeqNNFZpsy9HSup3hZZf2aoHfNXYZnc-azTdAVfYXiPIFBnuR_i_CWzpTTEeUOLO4n1KHVezh-RHqM0fMkPaQAQlsbFS4/s400/ironmay.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616089411144821202" />
Some people may not believe this when they hear it or in this case read it...but I did an Iron Man competition. Most Iron mans are done in a day. However, I completed an Iron Man challenge where you are given the month of May to complete the common Iron Man competition of swimming 2.4 miles. Biking 112 miles and running 26.2 miles. My sister came to visit my for one of those weeks in May which put a hold on my mileage (which I was totally cool with because it was such a great visit and uh yeah I got to see Wicked!) so really I did this challenge in 3 weeks. Which for me was so great. I have not accomplished a goal I have set for myself in a really really long time so I am super proud of myself.
Here are some pictures of me in my shirt that I got from the ceremony that they held. Sorry if they are sideways...something is weird with my computer/camera settings (a little annoying). But Yay for me! Bask in my accomplishments with me will you...I am pretty excited.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472683215288186576.post-47934309624193263142011-05-27T20:14:00.000-07:002011-05-27T20:15:48.291-07:00Just some pictures.I really like these pictures of me and my girls.
